I’m sharing a recipe for Gulkand Rabri today. Rabri or Rabdi is a delicious dessert made with thickened milk. It is easy to prepare and the only thing which takes time is thickening the milk. I decided to try a little variation from usual rabri and use Gulkand in it. The rose flavour and aroma was amazing and too delicious. My family loved it so much that it got finished within minutes.
You can also try Coconut rabri. Watch this quick video to make it!
Gulkand is one of my favourite ingredient and I have shared few other recipes on my with it like Gulkand Coconut Ladoo, Gulkand Ice-Cream, Gulkand Milkshake etc..
I had also bought these beautiful mud pots which I wanted to use for my blog. You all obviously know my love for mud pots and these pots are more special as my hubby recently gifted it to me and they are so beautifully carved. So, sharing the recipe for a mouthwatering Gulkand Rabri. I hope you all try it out and enjoy with your family and friends.

I saw your recipe on google plus and needed to stop over to read your recipe. I love your gorgeous photos and can totally relate to loving little pots. We just need bigger cabinets to fit in all of our little plates and pots… I can’t believe how rich and thick your pudding is with just these few handful of ingredients. Just pinned!

Thank you Sunita. I will share the recipe soon on my blog but in short:-
1 cup – fragrant, light pink rose petals
3-4 tbsp sugar
Wash the rose petals gently and spread them on a cloth and gently dab dry.
Take a glass jar, add one layer of petals, then sugar and then rose petals again and then sugar.
Keep the jar in sunlight for 7-8 days. Shake the jar once in day.

Hi can i use milk powder instead of milk??
Priya Shiva says
This recipe calls for thickening milk and the best result comes by using full cream milk..

Hi there!
This recipe looks too tempting to not give it a try! Is there a workaround to make gulkand , given the fact that its pouring in this part of the world?
Thanks!
