Methi Matar Malai is a popular Indian curry from North India. It is a flavorful dish made with green peas and fresh fenugreek leaves cooked with full cream. Its a great accompaniment which goes well with roti or even rice.

Methi Matar Malai Curry
Ingredients
- Methi/Fresh Fenugreek leaves - 1 cup
- Green Peas - 1 cup
- Cashews - 1/4 cup
- 1 Onions (Finely chopped)
- Ginger - 1 tbsp (chopped)
- 4 Garlic cloves (chopped)
- Green chillies - 2
- Fresh Cream - 1 cup
- Cumin seeds/Jeera - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tbsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
Instructions

Soak cashews in some warm water for 15 minutes.

Add cumin seeds, chopped onions, ginger, cashews and garlic to your blender and blitz it and keep it aside.

Add frozen peas in hot water and set it aside for 10 minutes. Drain water.

Add oil in a frying pan and when oil is warm, add the cashew paste and saute for few minutes till oil separates from the gravy.

Add methi, garam masala, sugar and mix it well. Lower the flame and let it cook for 2 minutes.

Add green peas, salt and mix well.

Now add cream, stir and cook it on low flame for few minutes.

Transfer into a bowl and serve it roti.
