I baked these whole wheat oats cookies today which I personally love as they are healthier and delicious. The sudden rain showers have definitely given some relief from heat but it also tempts to eat crunchy snacks. These cookies were loved by my family as we savored them over a cup of tea watching rain. The cardamom and cinnamon adds a great flavor to these cookies.

Make healthy eggless cookies with whole wheat and oats with flavors of cardamom and cinnamon.
Ingredients
- Quick cooking oats – 3/4 cup ( I used Quaker oats)
- Whole wheat – 1 cup
- Butter – 1/2 cup (at room temperature)
- Powdered sugar – 3/4 cup
- Baking Soda – 1 tsp
- Green cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Cinnamon Powder – 1 tsp
- Vanilla extract / vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Chopped almonds – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Preheat oven at 180 Degree Celsius. Sift wheat flour and keep it aside.
- Add butter and sugar in a bowl and mix well till its fluffy and creamy.
- Now add sifted flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, almonds, vanilla essence and mix it well to make a soft dough.
- Keep a cookie tray ready lined with butter paper. Take a small portion of dough, make a ball and flatten it lightly using your hand and place it on cookie tray.
- Keep at least 1 inch distance between each cookie as it will spread while baking.
- Place the cookie tray for baking at the same temperature for 20-25 minutes.
- When the edges start turning golden brown, remove from the oven and place them on wire rack for cooling.
- When they have completely cooled down store them in an air-tight container.
Notes
You can add 1-2 tbsp milk if you feel the dough is too stiff and dry.
