I love snacking on something in the evening with my cup of tea. I saw just few bread slices, some cheese slices lying in the refrigerator and figured out a way to use them. I made these cheesy potato bread balls and served it hot with some home-made tomato ketchup.

Cheesy potato bread ball is an easy snack and I hope you enjoy with your friends and family too!

Ingredients

  • 3 Bread slices
  • 2 Potatoes Peeled, boiled and mashed
  • 3 Cheese slices
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala
  • 2 tsp Corn flour
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Cooking Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix cornflour and a pinch of salt in water to make a runny batter and keep it aside. Sprinkle water lightly on the bread and squeeze the excessive water.

  2. Add mashed potato, bread, salt, black pepper powder, chat masala and mix it well.

  3. Chop the cheese sheets into small pieces.

  4. Take a tablespoon of this filling and make a ball. Press in the middle and place 1 tsp of cheese and roll it gently to close it.

  5. Dip these balls in cornflour mix and then roll the ball over bread crumbs and make sure its totally covered with it.

  6. Heat oil in a frying pan to deep fry the balls. To make sure to check if oil is ready, add a piece of bread to the hot oil. If it puffs up right away, oil is ready for deep frying.

  7. When the oil is warm, lower the flame. Deep fry these balls gently in oil till they turn golden brown.

  8. Enjoy these balls with some home-made tomato ketchup.
