Mambazham Pulisery is a sweet and sour curry from Kerala, India which is made with sweet ripened mangoes and served with rice. Mambazham means mango. I love mangoes and this is one of my favorite dish which can be easily made at home. It is usually loved by everyone.

Children also love it as mangoes add some sweetness to the Moru curry. It is also popular in Tamil Nadu and often known as mambazham mor kozhumbu. So, sharing an easy recipe to make this curry at home!
Mambazham Pulissery
Ingredients
- Ripe mango - 1 small size
- Curd/dahi -1 cup
- Green Chillies – 2
- Fresh grated Coconut- 1/2 cup
- Mustard Seeds -1/2 tsp
- fenugreek Seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
- Turmeric Powder -1/4 tsp
- salt to taste
- Coconut Oil – 2 tsp
Instructions

Chop mango into equal pieces. No need to remove peel.

Grind coconut with green chilies with little water to make a smooth paste.

Blend curd with 1 cup of water nicely to make buttermilk.

Boil it with 1 cup of water in a sauce pan for 3-4 minutes.

Now add coconut paste and buttermilk in the sauce pan. Mix well and cook it on low flame.

Now add salt to taste, turmeric powder, mix it well and remove from flame.

In a small frying pan, add oil and mustard seeds.

When mustard seeds splutter, add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves and fry for few seconds and add this to the curry.

Enjoy it with some steamed rice.
