Thengai burfi which is also known as Coconut Burfi is a delicious sweet made especially for festivals or special occasions in India. It is fudgy and super easy to make too. The main ingredient used for this sweet dish is coconut which is cooked along with sugar and milk.

Coconut Burfi
Ingredients
- Coconut - 1 cup (freshly grated)
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 2 tbsp
- Cardamom - 2 (powdered)
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
Instructions

Heat a pan with 1 tbsp ghee.

Add freshly grated coconut and stir on low flame for 2 minutes. Do not let the color change for coconut.

Now add 1/2 cup of sugar and keep stirring.

Add 2 tbsp milk and keep stirring.

Once it starts thickening and combines, add cardamom powder and give a quick stir.

Grease a pan with ghee. Pour the cooked content into it and flatten it.

Once it cools down, cut with a ghee greased knife.

Refrigerate it and consume this sweet dish in few days.
