Boondi raita is usually served as a side dish with Biryani or paratha. It is simply delicious and so easy to prepare too. I usually refrigerate the prepared raita for an hour. Just before serving it, I top it with some extra boondi for that crunch.

Boondi Raita Recipe
Ingredients
- Boondi - 1/2 cup
- Curd - 1 cup
- Chat Masala -1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp (powdered)
- Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Instructions

Add boondi and 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. Let boondi get soaked in water for 5 minutes and then drain the water.

Add curd in a bowl and whisk to make it creamy.

Add boondi, chaat masala, sugar and salt and mix it well. Refrigerate for an hour.

Just before serving, garnish with boondis, fresh coriander and sprinkle some red chilli powder.

Hmmm…looks interesting. I will go back to this page on the weekend and see if I can find the stuff I need to complete your boondi raita dish. The only Indian food I've tried is curry. 🙂
