Paneer pakora is a yummy snack to enjoy with your tea or coffee any given day. It is also so easy to make and usually loved by everyone. You can serve it as a starter for any party but ensure you have plentiful ready as they easily vanish! I had actually made these paneer pakoras during weekend and enjoyed with some ginger tea with my family. I remembered that I had taken the clicks, so sharing the easy recipe with you all.
Paneer Pakoras
Ingredients
- 100 gm Paneer/Cottage cheese chopped into small cubes
- 1 cup Besan / Gram Flour / Chickpeas Flour
- 1/4 cup Rice flour
- 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Ajwain/carom seeds
- 1/2 tsp Red Chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
- vegetable oil for deep frying
Instructions
-
Add besan, rice flour, carom seeds, baking soda, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl.
-
Add water little by little and make a batter for the pakoras. The batter should not be runny and a little thick so that they coat easily over paneer.
-
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame.
-
Dip paneer cubes in the the batter and fry it in oil.
-
Remove from the pan, drain the excess oil.
-
Sprinkle chaat masala and serve it.
Recipe Notes
Make sure to check if oil is ready. You can check by dropping a small ball of the batter in the hot oil and if it immediately comes on top immediately, oil is ready for deep frying.

Makes me crave for some now 🙂 I have made Paneer Pakora quite a few times but I have never added any rice flour, it would add to the crispiness I believe. Will try making your way the next time 🙂
