One of my daily task is to figure out how to give my little one vegetables in different forms. Today I tried adding carrot with some mint in Dosa and my naughty boy loved it. He usually loves Dosa and I’m glad that I was able to give him some vegetables in this form 🙂
To know how to prepare Dosa batter just click on Dosa batter listed in ingredients.
1) Add carrot and mint leaves in your mixer-grinder and grind it to make a paste. Add this to the dosa batter and mix it well. Bring the batter to pouring consistency. If it is thick, add little water and mix well.
2) Heat some oil in a small frying pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and Asafoetida to it. Once mustard crackles add chopped green chilies and few curry leaves. Add this mixture to the batter along with some salt and turmeric powder and mix it well.
3) Heat a non-stick tawa, grease with oil. Check if the griddle is ready by sprinkling little water. If it gives an oozing sound, then the griddle is ready. lower the flame and scoop a ladle full of the batter and spread to a circular shape. You can make it as thin as you want. It will be more crisp if it is thinner and softer if it is more thick.
