I made this Anaari paneer curry for a tv cookery show recently. What an incredible day!! It was so exciting to watch myself on a cookery show ..This is the second dish which I made for the show called “Konjum Soru Konjum Varalaru” in a tamil channel ( Pudu yugam TV). When the channel contacted me for the first time, I was super excited but at the same time very nervous. Some of the things which were running on my mind were – what if I goof-up..Will I be able to make something good and appealing for the audience. I enjoy cooking but cooking for the family and cooking for the show with lights and camera is completely different. The first time, they asked me to make a dish using oranges which was easier for me as I already had orange cake, muffins etc on my blog and confident to cook. For recipe and video at – Click here.

Heat a non-stick griddle/tawa and toast paneer cubes using 1 tbsp oil till they turn light brown on all sides. Keep this ready in a separate bowl.
-
Add 2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan and when oil is warm, add cumin seeds and saute till they crackle.
-
Add onion-tomato paste and saute for few minutes till oil separates from the gravy.
-
Now add turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and mix it well.
-
Lower the flame, add pomegranate juice and mix well.
-
Let it simmer for 2 minutes. Now add milk, salt and mix well.
-
Add paneer cubes and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
-
Transfer into a bowl, garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it hot with flat bread or rice.
Recipe Notes
Do not cook this dish on high flame especially after adding milk or it will curdle.
