Friends are important in life and they are absolutely special. Rupa is one of them! I got connected to her as we both love cooking and sharing our love for food. So, today’s recipe for Rose Jalebi is really special as it is shared by her.

I use Idhayam Mantra groundnut oil regularly especially when I have to deep fry any snack or savory. I introduced my friend to it and even she loves it. You can really make out that these jalebis would have tasted awesome! She has used Rose syrup to add the pink colour to the jalebis. Rose Jalebi Recipe
Ingredients
- Maida/All purpose flour - 1 cup
- Rose syrup - 4 tbsp
- Eno/fruit salt- 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Idhayam Mantra groundnut oil for deep frying
Instructions

Add sugar and 3/4the cup of water in a sauce pan and mix it well.

Heat the sauce pan and keep stirring till you reach 1 string consistency for sugar syrup. Switch off the flame.

Add 2 tbsp rose syrup and cardamom powder and mix well. Sugar syrup is ready to dunk the fried jalebis in it.

Add 1 cup flour, 2 tbsp Rose syrup, eno and mix it well. Start adding water to make a smooth batter. You can watch the video to check consistency of the batter. Make sure there are no lumps.

Pour the batter is a ketchup squeezer.

Heat oil in a frying pan for deep frying jalebis.

Once oil is hot, lower the flame and squeeze the ketchup bottle in circular motion. Watch the video for clear instructions.

Deep fry in low flame. Strain it and dip it in sugar syrup for 5-10 seconds. Hot hot jalebis are ready. You can even serve it with rabdi.
