I have always wondered why I find solace in writing poetry. Is it the urge to share my thoughts or pen down those bottled up emotions? The only logical answer I could get was that it was meant to be. I’m a poet and I know it..
Yes, I have finally found a place where my thoughts can breathe. There are no rules in poetry. You just write what comes to your mind. It could be your own story or something which inspired you. You can pick any aspect of life or emotion and start writing about it. It is not even necessary that it should be rhyming. Just pen down your thoughts as they are and share it with the world.
Sometime by thoughts are so jumbled up and it gets chaotic but I finally find a release when I start writing.
I have been a writer for quite some time now. I have been sharing blogs with you for past 5 years which talked more about my love for food and travel. Now I’m tapping into a deeper place where I share bits of my life through poetry. My emotions, feelings, desires and dreams are for you to read and judge. Does it bother me? No as I have crossed that stage long back. I write as it is a place where I breathe and live.
I have recently published my debut book – Ballad of Love and Longing. It’s a fairy tale written in poetic form. Do grab a copy and share the feedback with me. The book is available in various online stores:
