Humans are easily attached to emotions and we all have a big set of emotions which flow throughout the day in different forms. Emotions play an important role in life. It starts from the time we are born. We enter this big world with a cry which is an emotion in itself. Can we imagine a life without emotions? Not me! I’m starting a new series of posts in my blog where I simply talk about human and emotions. These are just random posts where I ponder with my own emotions. “Gratitude” is the thought for the day.
“Thank you”, “grateful”, “gratitude” – Are these words which simply exist in dictionary? How often do we use them? Do we feel the gratitude for the sunshine? Are we grateful for the small things in life? Gratitude is an emotion which has been forgotten..
I tucked my son in bed and said goodnight. I noticed that he’s whispering something and got curious to hear what my little boy has to say. He had his eyes closed and said, Thank you God for everything. He opened his eyes and said thank you Amma for tucking me in bed. It put a smile on my face and all I could react was with a kiss on his forehead. It was so innocent of him to thank me for tucking him in bed. This made me ponder on how often do we feel the gratitude.
I realized that I receive a great deal more every day than I feel gratitude for. I thank God every day for the beautiful life and even for my sheer existence but there are smaller things in life which I need to be grateful for too. It could be the hug which my boy shared with me. It can be a positive comment which I received on my blog. It can be the warm cup of tea my hubby made for me…
Gratitude is one of the strongest emotion and we have forgotten the power of it. I’m going to start saying “thank you” for the smallest joy in life and feel the gratitude again. I express my gratitude today and I feel more human..
