Aam Panna Recipe
Raw mangoes - 2
Cumin seeds powder / Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
Himalayan Black salt/ kala namak - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida/ hing - 1/8 tsp
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Lemon - 1
sliced for garnishing
Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
Clean and pressure cook mangoes till they are soft and can be easily mashed. Let them cool down completely. Discard the skin and seed. Add the pulp in a bowl and mash it nicely.
Add cumin powder, pepper powder, black salt, asafoetida and sugar. Mix it well till sugar is dissolved. Store this preserve in a cool place or refrigerate it.
Dissolve 2 tbsp of this drink in one glass of chilled water. You can also add ice-cubes, lemon slices and few mint leaves before serving.
Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
