Neer Moru is a spiced buttermilk drink which is very popular in South Indian households. We even prepare it for special occasions like Tamil new year, Ramnavami etc.

Ingredients
plain yogurt/dahi – 1 cup
Water – 3 cups
Grated ginger – 1 tsp
Green chilli - 1finely chopped
Asafoetida – 1/8 tsp
salt to taste
Curry leaves - 4-5
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
vegetable oil - 1 tsp
Few coriander leavesfinely chopped
Instructions
Add yogurt, water, salt to taste, asafoetida and blend it.
Add green chillies, ginger, few coriander leaves and mix it well.
In a small frying pan add oil and temper mustard seeds. When mustard seeds crackle, add curry leaves and saute for few seconds.
Add this in prepared buttermilk and mix well.
You can serve immediately or you can even refrigerate and serve chilled.
