Carrot Thayir Pachadi recipe

  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • 1/2 TSP Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp asafetida/hing
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 TBSP Idhayam Sesame Oil


  1. Add curd in a bowl. Whisk it and set aside.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp Idhayam Sesame oil in a pan.

  3. Add mustard seeds and let it crackle.

  4. Add asfoetida, chopped green chilli, curry leaves, grated carrot and sauté for few seconds.

  5. Add this tempering in the whisked curd.

  6. Add salt to taste, mix well and serve.
