  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1+1/2 cup Sour curd
  • 1/2 TSP Mustard seeds
  • 1 TBSP Green chilli paste
  • 3 TBSP Chopped coriander
  • Salt as per taste
  • Idhayam Mantra groundnut oil for deep frying

  1. Add sour curd and 1/2 cup of water in a bowl and blend well.

  2. Heat a pan with 2 TBSP of Idhayam mantra groundnut oil. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.

  3. Now add sour curd, green chilli paste and mix well. Once it starts boiling, lower the flame and add rice flour in the middle. Do not mix. Let it simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.

  4. Add chopped coriander and remove from flame. Mix it well and let it cool down.

  5. Knead the dough well so that it's soft. Apply oil to your palm and knead the dough for few seconds. Roll the dough carefully and shape it in rings to make kodbale. Watch the video for clear instructions.

  6. Heat Idhayam Mantra groundnut oil to deep fry kodbale. Drop the kodbale one by one into the oil , flip them after a minute and fry them in  medium flame  till they turn golden brown.
