Beetroot Raita Recipe

Make a refreshing side dish with beetroot to serve with rice or flat bread.

  • Beetroot - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • Mint leaves - 10
  • Curd / dahi - 2 cups
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder - ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste


  1. Combine curd and salt in a bowl and whisk to make it creamy.

  2. Add finely chopped onions and beetroot in the whisked curd and mix it well.
  3. Roast cumin seeds and powder it.
  4. Add roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and serve.
