Wedding is by far the biggest celebration in any family. Friends and family are excited to be part of it. I get excited too thinking about what to wear and the food (that’s the greedy foodie in me 🙂 ).. My worry starts when I start thinking about the wedding gift. I love to give personalized gift which carries my emotions and joy to them.
I have always believed that a gift is not merely an obligatory form of present. People who receive it should be able to relate to it and it should be useful for them. The gift should also be unique so that it brings fond memories to them when they think about it. I have always found it very difficult to find some gifting options which ticks all the above criteria. I used to break my head in coming up with innovative gifts and the process is more stressful than what words can’t describe. I was searching for a personalized wedding gift when I came across Uncommongoods website, and I could appreciate the amount of thought that would have gone into putting together the gift items with so much of inventiveness. This is also a company put together by two passionate people Dave & Thomas. Dave came up with this idea of putting together a site like this and survived the dot com bubble and Thomas joined them and upped the ante.
I loved the online catalog which has a variety of products to choose from and each product has a story to tell you. I checked their background and learnt that they believe in supporting creativity and the artist community.
Anniversaries are equally special. You can check out the beautiful gift options for the same on their website. I loved them! I even loved the fun bridal shower gifts. Now I have such amazing gift options for my friends. I have a special eye on their kitchen and bar catalog and might end up gifting some cutting boards and glasses to myself.
So stop giving excuses to friends by gifting mundane bouquets or boring gift cards. Choose from the wide variety of gifting options customized based on the occasions and never ever be the boring gift giver of your family. They ship to India too!
