Peas mushroom Sandwich is a quick and filling sandwich. The filling is prepared with sauteed peas and mushrooms and I have added some spices to enhance the aroma and flavours of this sandwich.

How to make Peas Mushroom Sandwich

Ingredients:

Whole wheat bread
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Tomatoes – 2 (Finely chopped)
Peas – 1/2 cup
Chopped Mushroom – 1/2 cup
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Chat masala – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Butter to spread on bread

Method to Prepare the filling:

Add oil in a pan and when its warm add onion to it. When its golden brown add tomatoes to it. Saute it for few minutes and add peas, mushroom, salt, chat masala, turmeric powder and black pepper to it and mix it well. Saute it for few minutes add 1/2 cup of water and close the pan with a lid for few minutes. Let it cook on flame till the water is completely soaked by the vegetables and the vegetables are soft and cooked. Transfer it into a bowl and keep it ready.

Method:

Take a slice of bread and spread the filling on it and keep another slice above it. Now spread little butter on both sides of the bread and grill it or toast it. Serve it with morning tea or coffee.
